Artist Bio Ponce De'Leioun, a California-based rapper, is renowned for his potent lyrical content and catchy melodies that encapsulate his past and present life. The impressive MC embarked on his musical journey in 2014 when he released mixtapes with Tim Westwood. He quickly became a staple in the radio scene, featuring on platforms like SiriusXm, BBC1, Power 106, and Power105.

Born De'Leioun Jackson, he introduced himself to the music world with his first mixtape, Yellow Tape, in 2014, hosted by Tim Westwood. His popularity spiked with his "It's On" freestyle, which topped Snoop Dogg's Underground Countdown, leading to wider recognition. Ponce De'Leioun’s music talent started to get him accolades, winning him the Best Artist at the West Virginia Hip Hop Awards, while also earning a nomination for Best Male Rapper at the Underground Music Awards, where he contended with Joyner Lucas.

In 2016, Ponce De'Leioun released Ikon featuring notable names like Rich the Kid (Money Growing) and Famous Dex (Guwop). His subsequent work, De'Leon, included guest performances by Iman Shumpert ("Throwing Salt") and Marvin Bagley' ("Be About It"). His collaboration with Iman Shumpert extended to the remix of Chicken Pox.

By early 2017, Ponce De'Leioun had carved himself a unique niche in the industry, becoming Swisher International's first rapper sponsor. This achievement opened the doors to performances with high profile artists such as Nba Youngboy, Lil Yachty, 21 Savage, Rich the Kid, and Gucci Man.

In contrast, the early part of 2022 remained relatively low key for the rapper as he focused on his international project with Worldstar-hiphop, due for release in late 2023. This project features Kevin o Chris, Borges Clout, Ferrugem, Froid, and Nagalli, and aims to chart in Brazil. The project's release is poised to put Ponce De'Leioun back on tour in 2023.
Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I don't ever take no days off
Blood sweat and tears, it really pays off
Grew up in the field, had many playoffs
Grew up in the field, my life was chaos

Now I don't step out without that blicky by my side
There's like 50 shades of gray and different ways you can die
Watch who you're talking to 'cause nowadays everybody got ties
Watch who you're talking to 'cause nowadays everybody got lies

[Chorus]
I don't ever take a day off
Blood sweat and tears, it really pays off
Grew up in the field, had many playoffs

Done been through hell, chaos
Still become a boss, no b****
Now I provide the blueprint and get paid off

[Verse 2]
Hating like Adolf, my young boys
Trying to get that K off
I bet you fade away, he let that J off
Rip, take off, me and my brothers hate to see you take off
Your death is somebody nobody can shake off

I feel like Kobe in the gym
LeBron on the rim
Dame Lillard when I'm balling
I'm focused on them M's

Can't be focused on them L's
Gotta focus on them sales
It's all money in
My product floating off the shelves

[Chorus]
I can't even make this up
I used to watch my brother cook and break it up
Then feed it to the fiends, them brothers ate it up

Bro ain't even weigh it up
Eyeballed that bit
Then it got laid up
Hopped in my Impala
Then we skated up

There's no point in reading me
I've been getting checks but not no EDD
I do it for my people just like B.E.T.

Tell me what you see in me
I've watched a lot of brothers die
You can't walk by my side if you can't bleed with me

Walk with me

[Verse 3]
My pops had a stroke, now he don't move right
Don't have no time to waste, I gotta move right
Already got me two strikes
But for my blood, a brother do life
Every day's a gamble, I don't shoot dice
Tomorrow got a new price

I don't ever take no days off
Blood sweat and tears, it really pays off
Grew up in the field, had many playoffs
Grew up in the field, my life was chaos

Now I don't step out without that blicky by my side
There's like 50 shades of gray and different ways you can die
Watch who you're talking to 'cause nowadays everybody got ties
Watch who you're talking to 'cause nowadays everybody got lies
