Fake Friends
Ponce Deleioun and Marty Blaze

Pre-Cleared
Born De'Leioun Jackson, he introduced himself to the music world with his first mixtape, Yellow Tape, in 2014, hosted by Tim Westwood. His popularity spiked with his "It's On" freestyle, which topped Snoop Dogg's Underground Countdown, leading to wider recognition. Ponce De'Leioun’s music talent started to get him accolades, winning him the Best Artist at the West Virginia Hip Hop Awards, while also earning a nomination for Best Male Rapper at the Underground Music Awards, where he contended with Joyner Lucas.
In 2016, Ponce De'Leioun released Ikon featuring notable names like Rich the Kid (Money Growing) and Famous Dex (Guwop). His subsequent work, De'Leon, included guest performances by Iman Shumpert ("Throwing Salt") and Marvin Bagley' ("Be About It"). His collaboration with Iman Shumpert extended to the remix of Chicken Pox.
By early 2017, Ponce De'Leioun had carved himself a unique niche in the industry, becoming Swisher International's first rapper sponsor. This achievement opened the doors to performances with high profile artists such as Nba Youngboy, Lil Yachty, 21 Savage, Rich the Kid, and Gucci Man.
In contrast, the early part of 2022 remained relatively low key for the rapper as he focused on his international project with Worldstar-hiphop, due for release in late 2023. This project features Kevin o Chris, Borges Clout, Ferrugem, Froid, and Nagalli, and aims to chart in Brazil. The project's release is poised to put Ponce De'Leioun back on tour in 2023.

Lyrics
[Chorus]
So many friends turned enemies
Hopping on that bandwagon to envy me
I cannot reciprocate that energy
I can't hold onto memories
Still got family to feed, they're all kin to me
Bridges get built and burnt for centuries
Friends turn into enemies
Friends turn into enemies
[Verse 1]
I can't trust nobody no more
This world's cold, but it gets colder when we're at war
I grew older, but I got bolder
Not the man I was before
See, I've got scars and I've got sores
All the closed and open doors
I've been rich and I've been poor
Been in the trap, been on tour
Been in suits, went for Dior
I slept on jets, I slept on floors
[Verse 2]
They wanna envy me
These brothers leeching, they're just messing with my energy
We can't sit together, we don't have the same itinerary
How you turn bad? You were my dog, kin to me
I heard you took a plea, trying to take me out like
John F. Kennedy
Brothers ungrateful, when you were starving
I was balling, brought platefuls
Put brothers in apartments, on the charts
And on the payroll
Keep the money under the table, snakes biting all around your ankles
[Pre-Chorus]
I can't hold onto memories
I can't hold onto memories
[Chorus]
So many friends turned enemies
Hopping on that bandwagon to envy me
I cannot reciprocate that energy
I can't hold onto memories
Still got family to feed, they're all kin to me
Bridges get built and burnt for centuries
[Outro]
Friends turn into enemies
Friends turn into enemies
