Algenis Morillo Ortiz, widely recognized in the genres of Reggaeton and Hip Hop as Algenis "La Otra Cara," was born on August 21st in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Algenis kickstarted his music career at the young age of 17, and has since entertained collaborations with artists such as Ñengo Flow, Polaco, Jory, Arcángel, Yaga Y Mackie, Lil Flip, Cuban Link, and others.
Algenis has produced numerous Mixtapes, including La Nueva Cara in 2007, La Otra Cara in 2008, Drug Lord- The Mix Tape Host By DJ Sincero in 2009, Drug Lord V.2 in 2010, and Tomorrow Never Dies in 2011. More recently, 2022 heralded a period of rebirth and marked a New Era for Algenis. After almost 6 years away from the industry, he re-entered the music scene in partnership with his producers, Digabana & Shadow la Sombra. Indeed, 2022 is just the beginning of several upcoming projects and abundant blessings on his musical journey.
