Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Savaya's parents originally hailed from Baghdad, Iraq. Influenced by a wide range of artists from Sade, Boys II Men, and Job B to Babyface, Az Yet, and Mariah Carey, he has also been inspired by dance freestyle music.
Five years ago, Savaya relocated to Costa Rica where he embarked on a spiritual expedition that ignited his passion to release music. Savaya's songs often reflect this vulnerability and spirituality, serving as building blocks in the creation of a brand aimed to empower his listeners.
