She finds musical footprints in artists like Rosalía, Labrinth, James Blake, The Weeknd, Bon Iver, and Imogen Heap, blending alt-pop, hip-hop, electronica and rock into an ethereal, liminal miasma of layered soundscapes.
Jwane’s sound is timeless, unconcerned with trends and instead carving a path wholly original, seeking to explore her own identity and carve from that art both cathartic and electrifying. Her songwriting and production thematically concerns itself with splits in personality, her cross-continental communities and family members, and her experience as an immigrant traveler.
