Lyrics

I’m from the six
Add the one seven
I’m going down as a legend
All of my blessings
Be raining down
I thank my Father in heaven
When I drop a song I gotta give bars
Just to increase the connection
Boston bred from the Bury boy
You already know what I’m repping

Look
I remember when you couldn’t walk
In a certain neighborhood
With a certain fitted on
Either they gon press you with the questions
Or they gonna keep asking
Lil homie where you from?
That was when I was on the block
Ballin up at Trotter park
Till the sky went dark
But I chose beats over beef
Cause I already knew
That it required more heart
This ain’t no play but this who I am
So I cannot play a part
I gotta eat
I’m shopping for beats
Then I put them in the cart
This is culinary mixed with the trap
I am not Catholic but this is for Mass
The city’s in my heart and not on my back
Gotta carry my cross
And I’ll leave it at that

I’m from the six
Add the one seven
I’m going down as a legend
All of my blessings
Be raining down
I thank my Father in heaven
When I drop a song I gotta give bars
Just to increase the connection
Boston bred from the Bury boy
You already know what I’m repping

Yeah
Boston
You can tell where I’m from
The way I’m talking
Three stripes on my side when I walk in
Red Sox on my hat like a stocking
Find me downtown at the Commons
Or P&R ice cream with no toppings
Traffic so bad no parking
Throw the hazards on
Keep em blocked in
On my nomad flow
I moved all around the City
Had to keep the luggage with me
Suburbs to the gritty
The new kid on the block
But I’m never on my tippy toes
Amazing grace, amazing grace
Got me singing sunny day
Now I roll to the gate
No GPS I know the way
My blessings coming no delay
Yuh

I’m from the six
Add the one seven
I’m going down as a legend
All of my blessings
Be raining down
I thank my Father in heaven
When I drop a song I gotta give bars
Just to increase the connection
Boston bred from the Bury boy
You already know what I’m repping

Raised in every hood so I don’t got a set
It ain’t where you living
No it’s how you rep
Need a hunnit plays to get up out of debt
Was on Hillside and off the cal you met
Couple houses mixed with other buildings
There was college kids
And families with children
Just a couple streets
And just a couple feet
A rotary circling round the jects
Main road we got RCC
Mad civilians walking you could see the T
There was culture there
So it was real to me
How we say wassup is throwing up the threes
Then Berklee students
In the town by the CITGO
Mattapan for the wings up at SIMCOS
Sing a different tune
A whole different tempo
If neighbors jogging
Then you know where the rent goes
Shaydez

I’m from the six
Add the one seven
I’m going down as a legend
All of my blessings
Be raining down
I thank my Father in heaven
When I drop a song I gotta give bars
Just to increase the connection
Boston bred from the Bury boy
You already know what I’m repping
