Artist Bio
East Point, GA born and raised rapper/producer Jermaine Robinson’s songs are driven by 2 motives. One, to challenge whatever’s collectively accepted in the effort of progression, and two, to shine an unapologetic light on the complexities of the human experience.
Through his lyrics, Jermaine delivers a level of candor and storytelling that remains refreshing for the captivated listener, while performing over self-produced instrumentals that create an ever developing arc that convey stories within itself. His energy is dynamic and layered, switching from jazzy boom-bap chills to fiery trap anthems.
Along with his music influences being from the likes of Outkast, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar, and Lil Wayne, Jermaine credits his sound to a life-long quality of being unpredictable, which he battles as being a gift and a curse. He has always found himself being caught in the grey area, and it seamlessly blends into the sonics and themes of his music. Whether it’s him being too guarded for the extroverts, but too boisterous for the introverts, or too commercial for the underground, but too underground for mainstream, Jermaine is learning to find peace in being indescribable.
“Music has always been my life. And, my life and experiences are not something you can box in and pinpoint it’s objective. There’s no right or wrong way to feel about it. Just as long as you feel something, then the job is done.”
